Learn about our passionate team, the important work we do to provide assistance to neighbours in need and how you can help
Your generous donation will fund our mission of helping our neighbours in need. We provide food and emergency help to families to help prevent utility cutoffs and evictions. A relatively new challenge is helping the numerous homeless people in our community and helping with furniture and appliances when people do find housing.
As well we offer assistance to students in elementary to post-secondary education
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY September 30,2023
For food assistance , please call our Helpline at (705) 444-0999.

Our amazing team of volunteers are committed to helping others by providing a hand-up to our neighbours in need. 95%+ of donations go to programs like our FoodBank, Financial Helpline, student assistance and Seniors' support. Think you would help? Contact us!
Many of our donations come from people who regularly give us a dollar or two each Sunday. Sometimes a supporter will write a larger cheque. Some companies give us the proceeds of a company fund-raising event. And a lot of our food comes from food drives from local schools.
The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is a lay Catholic organization whose mission is:
To live the Gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice and joy.
Using your donations efficiently is our goal
If helping the poor and disadvantaged is an issue that you are passionate about but you also want to make your donation dollars work hard, please consider donating to St Vincent DePaul. All of our workers are unpaid volunteers and premises to operate are provided to us at no charge. So, we have minimal administrative expenses and over 95% of donations ends up in the hands of our neighbours in need.
